Moving to a desktop PC

I’ve been a laptop type of user for the last 10+ years.  Over the last two weeks I’ve considered building a desktop computer again.  And while that is a lot of fun to do, I found that using was going to be slightly more expensive than just customizing a PC through iBUYPOWER.  So, I pulled the trigger and decided to place the order.  This is how I configured it and should receive it in a few days:

Case (iBUYPOWER Trace Mid-Tower Gaming Case)
LED Fan Lighting (3x [RGB] Azza Hurricane 120mm RGB LED Fan)
Processor (Intel® Core™ i7-7700K Processor (4x 4.20GHz/8MB L3 Cache)
Processor Cooling (DEEPCOOL Captain 120EX Gamer Storm 120mm Liquid CPU Cooling System – RGB)
Memory (16 GB [8 GB X2] DDR4-2400 Memory Module)
Video Card (NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 – 8GB (GDDR5X) (VR-Ready) – Single Card)
Free Game Bundle ([FREE Game Bundle] – Intel Summer Streamer Bundle – 2 Games + 7 Softwares – w/ purchase of Intel® Core™ i5 or i7)
Motherboard (ASRock Z270 Gaming K4 — AURA RGB, 2x PCIe x16, 4x USB 3.0 (3x Type A, 1x Type C), 2x USB 2.0 [Intel Optane Ready])
Power Supply (600 Watt – Standard 80 PLUS Bronze)
Primary Hard Drive (240GB WD Green SSD)
Data Hard Drive (2 TB Hard Drive — 64MB Cache, 7200RPM, 6.0Gb/s – Single Drive)
Sound Card (3D Premium Surround Sound Onboard)
Network Card (Onboard LAN Network (Gb or 10/100))
Operating System (Windows 10 Home – (64-bit))
Keyboard (iBUYPOWER Standard Gaming Keyboard)
Mouse (iBUYPOWER Standard Gaming Mouse)
Monitor (24″ [1920×1080] MSI Optix G24C Curved Monitor — AMD FreeSync + 144Hz refresh rate – 1ms gtg)
Monitor Cable (6 ft. Rosewill DisplayPort Male-Male 4K Ready Cable – 4K Ready, 28 AWG, High Bit-Rate)
Advanced Build Options – Thermal Paste(Tuniq TX-2 High Performance Thermal Compound)

I almost went with the new i7-7800x 6-core processor and a lot more LEDs, but figure I won’t use all that power or lighting.  I’ll add my Samsung 960 EVO 500GB NVMe, Crucial 256GB SSD SATA in it, along with my Razer DeathAdder Elite mouse and be good.  There will be an unboxing and review to follow.
